Who’s doing  2 day Tuesday?

I ate one meal last night for supper

and I will eat supper Wednesday

thats 48 hours, but saying 2-day Tuesday is more fun


what happens to our bodies when we fast for 48 or 72 hours?


because we haven’t eaten, our insulin levels drop telling the body to get energy from stored fat


The pancreas releases glucagon when the concentration of insulin (and indirectly glucose) in the bloodstream falls too low. Glucagon causes the liver to convert stored glycogen into glucose, which is released into the bloodstream.

the body goes into nutritional ketosis, which means that your body is burning body fat.

If you have 40 pounds of body fat, like I do, that’s 140,000 calories of stored energy….

for me, these are the cornerstones of fasting:  2-day Tuesdays and 3-day Thursdays.


and, if I can get motivated….once a year, I’ll do a 7 day fast

For cancer prevention, Dr. Seyfried recommends a 7-day fast. However, many autophagy benefits are theoretical and unproven.


Independent, many have found the 7-day fast much less difficult than one initially imagines.
