Overcoming Keto Plateau After 6-8 Weeks

 

today we go back to Dr. Berg, I really can’t believe how much content this guy puts out.  Very motivating for me.

 

in the linked video, Dr. Berg talks about how to overcome a keto plateau.

 

For the biggest loser, the people

 

losing weigh tis not normal – it is anti-survival.  Your body wants to hold onto fat.

 

you body wants to stick to a set point, the weight that your body is comfortable at.

 

high insulin + insulin resistance

 

does losing weight on keto or other weighs reduce your metabolism

 

keto is low carb which keeps insulin from climbing super high

fasting really reduces insulin why? because you’re just not eating

 

try this at home:

fast at home, then eat 2 strips of bacon

2 hours later you will be very hungry

 

with low calorie diets, you are raising insulin,

with intermittent fasting, you’re spikes are spaced out, but you’re not hungry.  why?

when you lower insulin enough, you finally are able to tap into your fat reserve
