remember Weekends are not YOLO, weekends are planned, they are not free-eating periods

John eats OMAD, the linked video is episode 13 of john’s omad series,

entitled Is Fasting Starvation?  Is fasting anorexia

Here are some notes from john’s linked video:

  • John’s not a doctor, this Is just his opinion
  • fasting is going without food for a health benefit. its planned, you’re not compelled to it
  • john eats only one meal a day, he fasts for 23 hours every day
  • sometimes he fasts for 48 hours or 72 hours
  • John’s done some crazy workouts even while doing a 3 day fast
  • not everyone can do that, but its possible
  • you use the fat on your body for fuel
  • John thinks everyone should fast, even if its one day a week
  • he thinks it will extend your lifespan
  • he thinks it will help you keep your weight in check

now lets talk about anorexia

  • anorexia is where you believe you’re not good enough,
  • so you starve yourself to try to look better
  • and this is harming your body
  • there is a dangerous line between fasting and anorexia
  • for john, he lifts weights which he believes is the big difference

starving is:

  • when you don’t have enough food so that parts of your body start to shut down
  • your body starts to eat your heart
  • you might be getting cold a lot more
  • starving should only happen after it pulls body fat and skeletal muscle
  • in starvation, you’re not getting enough nutrients

Figure it out!  The Fasting Motivation podcast is not medical advice.
