today’s link is to Megan’ Ramos’ blog post titled:  when to stop your fast, here are my notes:

  • when you feal nausea, you should end your fast, then think about starting again in a couple days when you feel well again
  • Nausea quite often is caused by a lack of water and electrolytes like salt and potassium, especially in the first 72 hours of a fast
  • overhydration is drinking too much water without the electrolytes, and that can be a problem too
  • if you feel intense hunger during a fast, as fasters, we want to push through it, but drink some water with a pinch of salt, that may help
  • even on eating days, water can help
  • if you’re still hungry, go do something instead of sitting and staring at the clock
  • ask yourself, do I still feel hungry? more often than not the answer is no
