7 Things You Should Know about intermittent fasting

Here are my notes:

  • we all already intermittently fast
  • it is completely natural and normal to fast
  • humans as a species have fasted for multiple days, there is a lot anthropological evidence the people have done this for thousands of years
  • you can start very slowly, keep pushing it one hour every week to your fast
  • you get the best benefits at 18 hours fasting, but you don’t have to start there
  • intermittent fasting is very powerful and very safe
  • get your diet situated first, being fat adapted first with a low carb diet for a few weeks first
  • nearly all humans are deficient in sodium, magnesium, and potassium
  • if you’re pregnant, or breast feeding, or a growing child, you don’t need to fast

Let’s figure it out!  The Fasting Motivation podcast is not medical advice.
