The linked video is part 9 of the 12 components of food addiction, this one is called:

Laziness

 

Here are my notes:

  • food addiction is afflicting our nation
  • there is no easy path to being healthy
  • walking is fine, but you have to up the intensity if you’re going to use it as a work out
  • it should be hard, you should be sore
  • try to match what our ancestors were doing thousands of years ago
  • most of us only work hard when we’re forced to
  • get up early
  • the Okinawans, in the blue zone, worked hard, ate smaller portions, and lived to be 100 years old
  • if you work 10-12 hours a day, you don’t want to come home and make a healthy dinner for your family
  • so what do you do? you go get food
  • its just easier
  • 70% of fast food is with the drive through
  • that’s the death train
  • that’s the life of most Americans, the death zombies
  • its hard work to change
  • your intelligence must protect the most important thing in your life, your health
  • some people are so lazy, they would rather get their stomach chopped off
  • most people who undergo weight loss surgery regret it

I will quote the minister of wellness right here:

in conclusion when the temptation to be lazy comes upon you

the temptation to take the easy way out

and you feel like cheating your way into excellent health

when the storm clouds hold over you when life knocks you down

when you get weary

when the waves of doubting the shackles of fear come against you

I want you to listen to the following over and over

let it be medicine for the Soul

if you do what is easy your life will be hard

but if you do what is hard your life will be easy

and no matter how hard it is

no matter how hard it may get

you’re going to make it
